Introduction

PBS Wash (10x) pH 7.4 is a concentrated phosphate buffer with added detergent used for preparation of solution for rinsing reagents during immunohistochemical staining procedure of samples fixed in formalin or glyoxal and embedded in paraffin. It can also be used for short-term storage of tissue sections on slides. This solution helps maintain morphological characteristics of the antibodies and the corresponding antigens in order to ensure the specific binding necessary for the immunohistochemical reaction. It contains detergent that helps rinse the reagent from the preparation and reduces the possibility of non-specific background staining.
