Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by a high blood sugar level over a prolonged period of time. The symptom is caused by disordered insulin secretion and/or effect. As a chronic state, the key to keeping diabetes under control is regular testing (monitoring) of the blood glucose level. Keeping track of daily results determines and corrects the therapy, altogether being the key factor to assess if the treatment is successful.

VivaChek™ Ino test strips and VivaChek™ Ino glucometer are intended for home testing and professional use in diabetes control. The products are listed by Croatian Health Insurance Fund (HZZO) as orthopedic and other appliances. The VivaChek™ Ino system is a new technology appliance – the test strips are automatically ejected and no user coding is required.  Blood samples can be tested over a wide hematocrit range (from 20 to 70 %) which includes samples from anemic patients, pregnant women and neonates. Besides determining the blood glucose level, the system detects blood ketones and alarms the user in case of elevated levels. The appliance displays precise results in 5 seconds using only 0,5 µL of blood.  VivaChek™ Ino test strips rely on 8 electrodes enabling a high precision level.  Even better quality and more reliable control of blood glucose levels are provided with a new package with more control strips (50 + 25 test strips free of charge and 90 + 10 test strips free of charge) without additional charge for HZZO or the patient.
