Clearing and deparaffinization agents
Clearing agents are completely miscible with alcohol and paraffin, making them an ideal intermedium in histology and cytology processing. They are used multiple times during tissue processing and section staining; before embedding the tissue in paraffin, for removing the paraffin from the section before staining and before covering the stained section using the medium for permanent preservation.
